TABCOM Ethics and Healthy Boundaries Workshop – September 27, 2025, Groton, MA

The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM) invites clergy and candidates for ministry to join us for an important Ethics & Healthy Boundaries Workshop on Saturday, September 27th, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the TABCOM Office, 189 Prescott St., Groton, MA 01450.

âś… Why Attend?
Healthy boundaries are essential for life-giving relationships in ministry—whether with our spouse, family, friends, colleagues, or parishioners. This workshop will explore the meaning and practice of boundaries in ministry, while also addressing the dangers and prevention of violations.

Topics will include:

  • Power and Vulnerability
  • Friendships and Dual Relationships
  • Gifts and The Pulpit
  • Transference, Hugging & Touch, Intimacy
  • Personal and Professional Health (self-care, red flags)
  • Social Media in Ministry

đź’ˇ This workshop meets the guidelines for Professional Ethics required by TABCOM for Ordination and Ministerial Standing.
