Rev., Dr. Moreen P. Hughes
Reverend Dr. Moreen P. Hughes is an ordained minister with the American Baptist Churches, USA and Progressive Baptist Churches, Inc., and serves as Associate Pastor and Minister to Women at the Concord Baptist Church of Boston, in Milton, where her husband, the Rev. Dr. Conley Hughes, Jr. is Senior Pastor.
She serves on the staff of The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM) as Resource Coordinator, representing 35 multi-ethnic churches that comprise the Boston Southwest Association. She is a Cultural Advocate with the MA Baptist Multicultural Ministries (MBMM), and also represents the association as a board member to the Conference of Baptist Ministers in Massachusetts, as well as serving on the Board of Vision New England.
A graduate of Boston University, Reverend Hughes earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and Counseling from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. After 33 years in education, she retired from the Boston and Haverhill Public schools respectively.
Being called by God to the Christian Ministry and wanting to be theologically equipped, Reverend Moreen further earned a Master of Arts degree in Religion from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA, where she was chosen as a Jonathan Edward Scholar and then went on to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree in Effective Ministries to Women from the same institution.
Rev. Moreen is a strong believer in prayer and the power of prayer and praises God for being the center of her joy.
